Zips, Zips, Zips, lots of pics of zips today

These are pics of the zip bags that I sewed yesterday. The colors are off in the pictures, I'm working on better lighting and playing with the settings on the camera so I can get more accurate images.

I used a black check fabric for the handle, the lining and back of the bag.

Front of the bird bag.

I love this black fabric with bright blue dots the covers the back of the Bird bag.

Inside I used a silky bright blue fabric for a little sass inside of the bag.

Another style of zip back that I put together. These would be great for holding make, makeup brushes, or pens pencils.

A little sassy red pleather for the back of the bag for a little kick!

Pieces cut and ready for the next bag to be sewn.

The day is filled with more sewing the pile of zip bags still on my desk, how fun!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Sewing zips

On the docket today is sewing many, many zip bags that are lined up on my desk. I'll be sewing a lot more the next week until my new shipment of silk screening inks arrive via UPS. There are some new yummy ink colors that I ordered this time and can't wait to try.
Off to workout then sew, sew, sew.

New products

This is just a few sewing projects lined-up on my desk to be attended to this week. There are plenty of pillows and zip bags that are going to be made out of the print blocks that I printed recently. All of these products will be in the store in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pics as they are done.
Off to work,

Testing and Happy Birthday

I received some fabric samples in the mail the other day from a new fabric mill that I'm giving a try. This week or next I'll be doing a test screen print on these fabrics to see how they look. Lots to do though, with stripping screens, stretching screens, adding emulsion to screens and burning new screens. Then printing will begin. All fun!

Last night I made this little tote bag for my niece's 2nd birthday which is next week. I made it to hold her new crayons, coloring book, her first Dr. Seuss book, and her first sketch book. Even though she's only 2, she already loves to draw. That a girl! :)

Busy, busy, busy!!!! Life is good!

It's been a while since my last post simply because I have been so busy with designing new products. Which I love, love to do. I have been working on purses, small zip bags, book covers, pillows and anything else I can think of. Above are just some of the new pillow designs that will eventually be going onto the store. I have some more screens to burn so I can silk screen some new images.

This is just some of the new yummy fabric that I purchased last week that will be used to make more pillows, book covers, zip bags ect.. I just love fabric and all things you can make with it.

These chickens always remind me of my Grandma who loved to sew. She designed and made these at least 20 years ago before she died. She made them especially to be used as pin cushions, and I'm getting great use of them, as well as, keeping my Grandma close. Love you Grandma.
