The Jacque Pierro web/blog is up and running!

In celebration of my web/blog up and running to full capacity I have treated you with a photo of the day of my little design assistant who pretty much has this to say to me everyday when I need her to do something.... aaawwwww my Lil' Shimmey Marie you're a spit fire!

So tune in here everyday for updated blog posts.  Everything from my blogger blog has officially moved over here to the Jacque Pierro web/blog.   As I seattle into my new digs things will be tweaked, pushed, and pulled over here to make everything just right.

Stay tuned in I'll be having sales, specials, and daily updates with the holiday season upon us.

Hello Everyone,

I've decided to update my website into a new format so please be patient as I make the changes, hopefully over the next week or so I will be completely  finished with the new and improved look.

UPDATE ON THE BLOG: The blog has officially moved to the HOME page of my new wonderful and sassy new site right here at www.JacquePierro.com.  All posts that were on BlogSpot have been successfully moved to this HOME page of the site, right below this post.  Over at the old BlogSpot blog I will leave a link to come on over here where the fun is! :)

So I'm off to design the new site and have a cup of tea.

Katwise, she's just amazing!

The other day I came across the most amazing store on Etsy owned and run by the lovely Katwise.. who could be Gwenyth Paltrow's younger sister... who makes the most gorgeous up-cycled sweater coats that I have ever seen.  She has been selling her patchwork clothes when she followed the Grateful dead tour 20 years ago.  Each coat is made from 20 recycled sweaters that she cuts apart, designs into a new sweater or coat then sews them together using a serger machine.  Each sweater is a gorgeous one of a kind piece.  And the most amazing thing is to watch how they sell on herEtsy shop.  She designates a date and time when she's going to sell her items, which you get to preview on HER FACEBOOK the day before.  On the designated selling day and time she will list about 50 coats, sweaters and arm-warmers and you better not blink because they will be gone with in a matter of minutes.  This past Saturday Sept. 10 I got to witness one of these exciting and entertaining events.  As soon as she listed batches of sweaters and arm warmers they were disappearing off the page.   You could just feel the frenzy as everyone was dashing to the check out to pay for their item before they lost  that one of a kind beauty to someone else, it was really exhilarating and fun to watch.  You go Katwise, you're awesome!  Check out Katwise's Etsy store here.   

Love the color the color combinations in all 3 of these sweater jackets.

Black and white beauty is also very fun, it's really hard to just pick one as my favorite, everything is so pretty.

And what fun this last one is, the combo of the blues and hint of turquoise, just exquisite

I purchased Kastwise's tutorial and will have to give it a go and see how I do at making one of her coats.  I'm excited to learn from a master designer!

Jacque Pierro designs are heading into boutiques!

So I recently received a lovely request for some of my bags to be sold in a salon boutique and of course I said that I would love to be apart of this.   This was the final selection that is being packed for the their   spa destination.  I might just have to pack myself in with them so I could have a nice spa day.

Here is the lovely Pam Spillman-Edmonson owner of SKIN ESSENTIALS, she's a holistic esthetician, makeup artist, and extensionist.  She has a holistic approach to healthy skin taking in factors such as a healthy diet, outlook on life, stress and environmental awareness.  She's mind kind of gal!  If your in Wichita Kansas stop in and pamper yourself with Pam's treatments and pick-up some of my bags.

I just love Pam's color sense, the brown, lime green, and white.  So contemporary and clean!

New section

With all the design changes going on around here... ie the website being one of them... I added a new section to the About section of the site.  It's called In The Design Studio, just to give a little more information for the goings on behind the scenes when I'm designing those sassy, chic products.  I can smell the ink just looking at this pic, I'm getting back into the print studio just as soon as I wrap up some business stuff.  There's lots to do before the holiday season arrives, which is oh so soon.

Design changes

This week has been filled with many, many changes to the design and marketing aspect of my brand and company.  To start off your lovely tour here's a look at the new J*P logo.  Sassy yet professional, just how I like it.  Which started her debut in the new blog banner.  Tralalalalal!

Introducing all new leather purses, wristlets and clutches

So I thought I would try something different with the photography of the new leather bags to show case their sizes better, and that was to model them myself this time.  I think it gives a better idea of what the actual size is that you are purchasing.  It was kind of fun and funny to do... set the timer, run and pose quickly for the camera hoping that I was hitting my mark to make it into the picture.  You'll be seeing more of me in future shots... that is more shots of me in pictures not exposing more of me. LOL :)

Time flies when you're having FUN! :)

Where has the time gone to over the last week and a half since my last blog post, oh yeah, I've been buried in my studio designing like CRAZY!!!!  Just look at my poor studio it's a mess from the madness of creating, but ohhhhh it was so much fun, exhausting, but fun.  Every day was filled with printing, designing, cutting and sewing new designs in leather for the shop.  My studio has the wonderful smell of a leather shop.

Also over the last week and a half I've been very busy making and sending birthday gifts and fulfilling many orders, Yippeeeee, one of my bags is actually going to Bahrain as you read, how incredibly exciting to be going around the world with my products and designs!

This messy studio has already been cleaned-up and I spent the day photographing all the new bags for the store, just give me a little time to sort and post them to the shop.

Quick sketch

Just a quick sketch to play around with the photo I took of a new purse design that I posted in yesterdays blog.  Working on new creative marketing designs to use for PR to market Jacque Pierro designs and Pierro Studios.

I'm designing and making more purses and pouches in warm earthy browns, grays, black and navy for the upcoming fall/winter season.  I need Pierro Studio elves to help out with the dailies going on, maybe I can bribe the furry kids to get on board.  I'm going to need more treats for convincing. LOL

New purses with leather finished!

Yes, she is off the design table and fully assembled into all her glory... accept for one little problem... the zipper and it's leather zipper flaps are to long for the bag.  They worked just fine in the cloth purses that I made but with the bulk of the leather everything was just to tight.  So back to the design table for a little nip and tuck.  Other than that I'm really pleased with how the design turned out.  Since I have my trusty Seiko sewing machine I added even more padding to the structure to give her a full body.  And the leather.... the leather is super duper yummy, loving it, loving it, loving it!!!!  The good thing about her little zipper mishap is that she's mine now, all mine!

Oooop, it's a little tight and crowded in the zipper areas on the ends, but that's OK with a little redesigning everything will be just dandy.

And here's the new little beauty with her shortened zipper and flaps and everything is just perfect now.  I'll be photographing her and listing her to the store very soon.  Again, loving the addition of the leather to the bags, hers is super soft and scrumptious!

I've been flying through my supplies of silkscreened and dyed fabrics with all of the new bag designs, so I'll be heading back to the printing studio soon.  And for the rest of the day today I'll be testing a new leather that I purchased over the weekend to see if it's going to work in some pouches.  Pics to come soon.

Happy busyness today with working on the leather handbag that I posted about yesterday, a photo shoot for a blog submission, creative marketing design, and any other loose ends that need to be wrapped up.  Fun stuff going on in the studio!

Seven new designs!

I'm loving the addition of leather in my work.  I've been using recycled leather jackets that John has very generously donated and purses that I have around the house to add to these 7 new pouches that are just waiting for their leather and charm accents then they're off to their photo shoot for their modeling debut.  These new little beauties will be listed to the store front hopefully by the end of the day.  Shop them in the store.

On the design table

I was up kinda late last night designing, cutting and laying out a new bag design using my silkscreened fabrics, leather, and a sassy faux leopard skin fur print.  As always I just love the layering of textures and patterns in my work, it's exciting, tactile and just fun to look at, as well as, put together.

Since getting the Seiko sewing machine I had to switch to these large spools of thread, how fun are these big guys?, they make everything feel so much more official with my work.
